Pasta Sauce:

  1. Where do your tomatoes come from?
    1. We source the best California tomatoes from local farmers.
  2. Where do your other ingredients in your sauce come from?
    1. We use mostly California ingredients, as often as possible, to support the local farmers.
  3. How long will a jar of pasta sauce last after I open it?
    1. Pasta sauce will last about a week in the fridge- but if you eat it like I do, with a spoon straight out of the jar, it won’t last long at all!
  4. Why do you add sugar?
    1. We’ve played around with the pasta sauce recipes and have made formulas that do not have added sugar in them but they are far less superior in flavor. We just add a minimal amount to round out the flavor in the sauces for a more gourmet sauce. And, it’s what grandma used to do!
  5. Do your products contain allergens?
    1. Our Vodka Pasta Sauce contains dairy.

  7. Do your products contain nuts or tree nuts?
    1. No.
  8. Are your pasta sauces Non-GMO?
    1. 8 of 9 of our pasta sauces are Non-GMO Project Verified.
  9. What do I do if the seal is broken on the pasta sauce lid?
    1. Keep the jar and contact us with the UPC code, best by date and where you purchased the sauce so we can look into the issue.
  10. How spicy is the Jalapeño and Sriracha sauce?
    1. Our Sriracha sauce is spicy but bearable for spice lovers! If you’re looking for a sauce with a little less heat, try our Jalapeño or Arrabbiata sauce.
  11. Where are your sauces made?
    1. In Sonoma, California- right in our own backyard.
  12. What is the shelf life of pasta sauce?
    1. Unopened, the pasta sauce has a best by date of 3 years from manufacturers date.
  13. Where can I find your products?
    1. Our products can be found in most major retailers- Safeway, Publix, Target, Whole Foods, Raley’s, Albertsons, and many other stores. Also use our store locator http://www.miaskitchen.com/store-locator/ or purchase our products on Amazon.

Vinegar and Oils:

  1. How long is the aged balsamic aged for?
    1. The vinegar in our Barrel Aged Balsamic Vinegar is aged a minimum of 10 years. (need to double check this)
  1. How should I store the oils at home?
    1. In a cool, dark place to prevent oxidization.
  1. What is the shelf life of the specialty oils?
    1. 2 years, stored in a cool, dark place.
  1. What is the shelf life of the California Extra Virgin Olive Oil?
    1. 2 years, stored in a cool, dark place.
  1. Why do you use canola in the Jalapeño Oil?
    1. It has a higher smoke point than olive oil and our canola oil is sourced from Canada to ensure it’s non-GMO. It’s also heart healthy!
